Crafts-men in Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta is becoming an important tile making center, especially of the called “Talavera” ,along with the only two others cities where talavera is made which are Puebla and Dolores Hidalgo.

Mundo de Azulejos (Tile World), has created a new generation of crafts-men in Vallarta, who are very well paid and who have improve in their quality desing and efficiency.

Thanks to this Vallarta`s talavera has gone beyond our national borders and has found acceptation in places like the White House in the United States, the Vatican and even the Alcazar of Madrid, from whom we have received written acknowledgments. In the year of 1998 the Vallartan decorator Jorge Rubio commissioned us with an important shipment for the palace of one of the sons of King Fad of Saudi-Arabia; fot this commission we developed an artistic fusion between the Arab and Mexican worlds that turned out to be excellent

Thus, now people who visit Puerto Vallarta come not only as national and international tourists, but also to acquire our talavera which is appreciated every day more and more throughout the world.

Puerto Vallarta se esta convirtiendo en un importante centro azulejero, en especial del tipo Talavera, frente a las otras dos únicas ciudades donde se fabrica Talavera y que son Puebla y Dolores, Hidalgo.

Mundo de Azulejos, ha creado una nueva generación de artesanos vallartenses, muy bien renumerados, los cuales han ido superándose en calidad, diseño y eficiencia; gracias a ello, la Talavera vallartense ha rebasado las fronteras nacionales colocándose en sitios tales como la Casa Blanca de los Estados Unidos, el Vaticano y el Alcázar de Madrid; de los que hemos recibido reconocimientos por escrito. En 1988, el decorador vallartense Jorge Rubio, nos hizo un importante pedido para el palacio de uno de los hijos del Rey Fad, en Arabia Saudita y desarrollamos una fusión artística del mundo árabe y el mexicano, que resulto excelente.

Así que, ahora los visitantes a Puerto Vallarta, tanto nacionales como internacionales, vienen no tan solo como turistas sino para adquirir la cada día mas apreciada Talavera que aquí se fabrica.
